PerimeterPerimeter is defined as the distance around
an object or shape.

Rules to find the perimeterRule 1:Measure the length of all sides of the
shape.Rule 2:Add all the measured sides of the
shape.The sum of all the sides gives the perimeter.

Example: Find the perimeter of the given rectangle.
Perimeter of the given rectangle is = 11 + 5 + 11 + 5= 32 cm

Perimeter of squarePerimeter of the shape when all the sides of
the shape are equal = 4 x length of sideExample – Perimeter of square
