COPYRIGHT IS…Legal protection given to creator (artist, writer, musician, etc).
Promotes creativity because creators know their work is protected and they control its use.
Creators have the right to sue if someone violates copyright.
Examples: Coldplay, Zumba fitness, Happy Birthday (update!), Wizard of Oz

Since then her picture has been used multiple times in blogs, newspaper articles, etc. No one has to contact her for permission or pay her money because her permission is part of the creative commons license. All they have to do is give her credit.
