Conclusions

Organizations realize the potential benefit to the organization of their employees

having the capability to work virtually anywhere.

The consumerization of IT trend will have to live up to the hype surrounding its

potential benefits and organizational investment, since there are still major challenges

ahead in embracing the trend.

With the increasing desire among employees to utilize personal devices to perform

work within the organization and remotely, network and IT professionals say that the

most significant impact is on the need for specialized IT skills and in

network/bandwidth needs.

Security is the foremost challenge for organizations looking to embrace consumerized

IT and thus is a key concern for vendors to address.
