Blossom BlockSTEP 1Sew (1) Background fabric C triangle to (1) Blossom Block 1 fabric 2¾” square. Press toward square. Repeat with another background C triangle on other side. Trim points.

Attach (1) Blossom Block 3 fabric E triangle. Press seam open to reduce bulk. Trim points and square to 5”. Repeat to make (60) Blossom Corner units.

STEP 2Join (1) Background fabric D triangle and (1) Blossom Block 1 fabric D triangle. Press toward Blossom Block 1 fabric D triangle.

Attach (1) Blossom Block 2 fabric E triangle and press seam open to reduce bulk. Trim points and square to 5”. Repeat to make (60) Split Quarter Square units.

STEP 3Using the (60) Blossom Corner units, (60) Split Quarter Square units, and (15) Blossom Block 4 fabric 5” squares G, assemble (15) Blossom Blocks as shown. Press seams according to arrows. Square to 14” x 14”.

Star BlockSTEP 1Sew (1) Star Block 2 fabric Template B triangle to (1) Background fabric Template A triangle. Press towards Template B. Then attach (1) Star Block 2 fabric Template B Reversed triangle to opposite side. Press towards Template B. Trim points and square to 5”. Repeat with all remaining Template A, Template B, and Template B Reversed pieces to make (60) Peaky & Spike units.

STEP 2Sew (1) Background fabric 2¾” strip to (1) Star Block 1 fabric 2¾” strip. Press towards Star Block 1 fabric. Repeat to make (11) total strip sets. From strip sets, cut (150) 2¾” two-patch units.

STEP 3Sew (2) two-patch units together as shown to make a four-patch unit. Repeat to make (75) total four-patch units. Square to 5”.

STEP 4Use the (60) Peaky & Spike units and the (75) four-patch units to assemble (15) Star Blocks as shown. Press seams according to arrows. Square to 14” x 14”.

Assemble Quilt TopSTEP 1Assemble quilt top with all (30) blocks according to diagram on page 8. Alternate direction of seams between rows. For example, press all seams in row 1 to the right and all seams in row 2 to the left and repeat. Press the seams down between rows down.

Add BordersSTEP 1Piece together all (8) 2½” Border 1 fabric strips with diagonal seams to make one long strip. Subcut (2) 74” pieces for Border 1 top and bottom and (2) 83” pieces for Border 1 sides. (These measurementsare generous. ou will tri to fit a ter attaching to uilttop in Step 2.)
