Think about (and make use of) the work that you have been completing in the CALTs this term
• Improving assessment tasks• Moderating student work• Writing rubrics aligned to AusVELs• Writing assessment tasks aligned to AusVELS• Designing Literacy tasks and resources using LFL• Creating Guttmann charts• Cross marking• Writing curriculum using the common template
Check with your HOL about continued priorities in your Learning Area

Writing your PDP goals
![Page 18: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Deciding on your goals
• Use the sample PDP ‘Line of Sight’ goals on the staff home page – you only need to read the teacher goal (in green). You will need to make it more specific and achievable in the timeline
• Speak to your HOL• Utilize what you have
been working on in your CALT time
You can:
![Page 19: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
Writing your goals
• Make them SMART• Bear in mind this is a shortened
cycle, and ends in December this year
• They will need to be connected to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
![Page 20: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
• In the PDP template, there are four goals, in the same domains as last time
oProfessional KnowledgeoProfessional PracticeoProfessional Engagemento Student Outcomes
The first three connect directly to the domains of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
![Page 21: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
There is also a Student Outcomes goal, the same as last time. This seems most closely connected to Professional Knowledge and Practice domains.
![Page 22: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
The PDP template requires you to specify how your goal connects to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching
![Page 23: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)

How do I connect my goal to the Australian Standards?
![Page 25: Connecting our PDPs to our school goals Establishing a ‘line of sight’ to our Strategic Plan.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062423/56649e7a5503460f94b7b4d2/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
Look at the Standards and see which ones apply most directly

In summary
The School’s Strategic Plan (and how it has been ‘actioned’ in the AIP) informs your PDP goals and strategies
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, and how your goals and strategies meet these, need to be specified in your plan

How do I get started?Look at the last cycle PDP – goals you wanted to continue working on and the feedback from your reviewer
Look at some of the sample ‘Line of Sight’ goals/strategies on the staff home page
Talk to your HOL about what you have been doing (and will continue to do) in CALTs and Learning Area meetings. If you are Highly Accomplished, think about leading a small team (if you aren’t already!)
Look at the list of other Strategic Plan ‘actions’ to see if these relate to work you are doing
If you are unsure about anything, talk to your reviewer, or Michael or Karen
