The different aspects of Connecting Activities programming are complementary.

Having a mix of job/internship opportunities and other career development activities creates a well-rounded program for students; help staff make employer connections; and provides a flow of ideas and knowledge that leads to high quality programming.

Also - having a logical sequence of career development programming and work experience that is available to all students in grades 9-12 creates a school environment in which students know they can graduate college and career ready.

The priority for Connecting Activities programming is brokering work and learning opportunities --jobs/internships -- particularly for students most in need of support.

Connecting Activities funding comes from a state budget line item that specifically provides funds for staffing for the role of connecting employers and schools to broker work-based learning opportunities for students.
