TASK

• Take two household goods of any type and come up with a brand new ‘Sport’.

‘Sport’ in the English dictionary is defined as:an activity involving physical exertion and skill in

which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment

Take two household goods

• An Umbrella

• An oven cooker

You will never guess where I am going with this…

Mix them all together to make a game that all of the family can enjoy…

• The aim of the game is to create the sport with the umbrella using the timer on the oven to time yourselves.

• Each person wanting to participate in the sport is allocated a minute. How many times can they skip over the umbrella using physical exertion and skill? The aim of the game is to do as many complete step overs in the allocated minute and beat the rest of the participants amount.

• Climb over the umbrella while keeping both hands on either end of the Umbrella.

• Are you poor? Don’t you have a umbrella? Never mind, use a stick and count to 60 instead.

• Why not take it outside? Or if it is a rainy day, be safe in the knowledge that you can always play the sport indoors.

• This game is simple yet drives competitive nature in any group and can be enjoyed as wholesome entertainment for any age.

Why not add a bottle of alcohol and be creative with that?

• And you thought I was going to suggest that you drink it! Nope, too obvious, why not balance on it?

• Anything is possible when you have 60 seconds, a little creativity, an umbrella and an oven or similar device to use. Mix it up and use a broom or a mop. How about an egg timer?
