Take time to understand the data. Look for and develop project opportunities. Develop appropriate cost justification metrics.


8Select, request funding for and complete first operational efficiency project.

Start small and pick a project that will be a winner. Carefully document all findings. Present success in terms management will

understand.


9Highlight the successes – capitalize on visibility opportunities.

Consider writing an internal success story or case study.

Submit findings to a trade publication or present at an industry conference.
