Joy in the Journey—Celebrate LSC Senior Services! Blossoms of Hope is an annual service opportunity sponsored by Lutheran Services Carolinas to share joy with others through flowers. On Saturday, May 13, please consider bringing fresh flowers or plants to your local LSC ministry between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Flowers can be purchased or homegrown and will be used to fill living spaces and common areas with the beauty of spring. There are also opportunities for Sunday School classes, youth groups, or congregations as a whole to participate in landscaping projects. Please help us to have the most successful Letter Carrier Can Food Drive! Each year the United Way sponsors this can food drive on the second Saturday in May. You will soon receive a plastic grocery bag in your mail box as a reminder to place can food items in the bag and in the mailbox on Saturday, May 13. This is a one day can drive and many people depend on food pantries for assistance. All of the food received from China Grove Post Office goes to Main Street Mission. FIRST COMMUNION INSTRUCTION

Jesus said, “Let the little children come. ”The Sacrament of Holy Communion is, by invitation of the Lord,

presented through the church to the baptized. Christ calls and invites all the baptized to the

Lord’s Table with believing hearts. Brief Information session Sunday, May 7th (after 8:30am and 11:00am services) Parent materials will be distributed for the home learning component. Sign up for a specific learning session group with Pastor Ken according to your child’s age. Parent/child may choose to attend one learning session (May 14 or May 21 at 4:00pm)
