BACKGROUND AND ORGANIZATION

WAPCOS Ltd., is a MINI RATNA and an ISO: 9001:2008 Certified Government of India Undertaking since

1969, under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation is a well-knit

organization with specialised functional core groups fully equipped to provide comprehensive inter-

disciplinary coverage of all aspects of consultancy in Water Resources, Power and Infrastructure sectors

ranging from planning and feasibility studies, detailed surveys, investigations and designs to construction,

operation, maintenance and monitoring. WAPCOS was incorporated on June 26, 1969 under the Companies

Act 1956.

WAPCOS drives its strength from its human resources, which are backbone of the organisation. WAPCOS has

the in-built capacity to provide multi-disciplinary project team comprising of its own core group of

professionals and specialists from various organisations of Govt. of India and other State Departments.WAPCOS comprising of more than 1500 highly qualified professionals backed by dynamic and vibrant

various facets of water resources and power development, who are engaged from time-to-time to ensure that

the assignment in hand are executed with the best technical know-how and to the full satisfaction of clients. In
