LOVE IN ACTION We work with and help sponsor an awesome ministry in the Parkersburg area called Women's Care Center. This ministry works to save the lives of unborn children and care for their mother's spiritual needs. They are also going into schools in the area and talking to teens about abstinence. Such a needed ministry! The annual Walk for Life is Sunday, October 12th from 12:30-2PM. Lunch and entertainment are also provided. Jonny Diaz, a popular Christian singer, will be singing this year at the event. One of his songs is " More Beautiful You." This song delivers a powerful message to young teen girls about their real beauty. LIA would like to encourage all teens to walk this year and become a part of this ministry. This ministry is funded solely on donations from area churches and businesses. Please help pledge your support to those that are walking or just make a donation. They cannot do this alone and God has called us to be a light to those around us. We CAN do this. THE HOPE GROUP A new session begins on Wednesday October 8th, meeting every Wednesday evening from 6:30 til 8:30 PM. If you or another woman you know is struggling with life's issues at this time, please feel free to contact me. This is a God-centered group that understands the transformation that God can make in our lives. Many times, we need a small group to encourage us, understand us and to hold us accountable as we grow in HIM. If you yearn to throw off the "masks" we so often wear, and be the person God chose you to be, please join us. Knowing and accepting the "real you" can be life changing!
