The MiMo Historic District spanning from roughly from 50th Street to 77th Street along Biscayne Boulevard contains prominent examples of Miami Modernist Architecture. Mediterranean Revival and Art Deco were the favored means of architectural expression into the 40’s. MiMo flourished from 1945 until the late 60’s.

Resort MiMo influences include Hollywood set design, automobile styling, military jets and the space race.
