NEW
Local ceiling fan coil systems allow the flexible use of available space. For high comfort requirements, INDULVENT ec ensures draught-free ambient air flow with high cooling capacity and low sound power levels. The compact unit employs a fan with energy-saving EC technology. Cooling loads of up to 2600 W can be accommodated. Only electrical, cooling water and condensate connec-tions are required. INDULVENT ec is suitable for the installation in all prevalent modular ceilings.
INDULVENT ec performance features
Compact designFan, heat exchanger, dust protection, ambient air temperature sensor and controller are all integra-ted in a single housing.
Up to 2600 W cooling capacity (sensible + latent) per unit for high cooling loads.
Only a cold water connection and mains voltageare needed for operation.
Draught-free air distributionaccording to DIN EN 13 779, results from the high- induction, integrated, ceiling air diffuser. Average local air velocities of less than 0.15 m/s can be achieved.
Housing with internal insulationusing halogen-free closed-cell insulation material. Fire-resistance classification (BKZ) B2.
Simple operation and maintenanceThe folding hinge fitted as standard to the front panel makes servicing easy.
Easy to clean (VDI 6022)because all internal parts are easily accessible. Just a few simple operations and the housing, ventilator, heat exchanger, condensate dish etc. are accessible for maintenance and cleaning.
Integral cooling regulationadapts the cooling capacity to the load situation in a room by changing the recirculation air flow rate.
Features INDULVENT ec
Vent-BUSis an internal communication system which can connect up to 32 subscribers to a common BUS. Any desired combination of individual units and master / slave groups is possible.
Comfortable operation, parameterisation and monitoringusing a PC or a laptop via the USB socket in the front panel. With the VENT-BUS, any connected unit can be addressed and parameterised from the USB interface of any convenient subscriber.
FlexibleBecause parameterisation is simple, the works control parameters can be changed to individual settings when required. If usage changes, new master / slave groups can be set up at any time.
Comprehensive equipmentThe basic unit includes signal contacts for ope-ration and fault messages. An external control using a 0-10 V DC control voltage is possible. Con- densate pump is fitted as standard to ensure the reliable removal of any condensate for construc-tion height 335 mm.
Accessories Remote switching point with the functions:
OFF – STAGE 1 – STAGE 2 – AUTOMATIC Through valve (¾“) with thermal actuator
to cut off cold water during standstill periods Coupler to incorporate the Vent-BUS in an
inhouse BUS system

Air flow path Construction
Simple to operate and easy to maintain
The compact unit contains a fan, Cu-Al heat ex- changer with hydrophobically-coated vanes, ambient air temperature sensor, filter fleece, con-densate pump and an electronic controller. The folding hinge fitted as standard makes installa-tion and servicing especially easy. After undoing the quick-action fastener, the front panel can be swung open. All components are readily accessi-ble, and easy to clean and maintain (VDI 6022).
Master-slave operation with Vent-BUS
Using the Vent-BUS, it is possible to operate units that belong together in parallel. Up to 32 sub- scribers can be connected in such a group. Communication is by means of twisted-pair cable that must be installed by the customer. It con-nects all units that belong to the data BUS in series. Within a hard-wired VENT-BUS, groups can be set up as required at any time and confi-gured to operate in parallel. The parameterisation software is used for this purpose.
Two-wire BUS cable
A special feature of Vent-BUS is that the parame-terisation of any subscriber can be carried out from any desired INDULVENT ec connected to the BUS. This offers the advantage that, for example, sensitive rooms do not have to be entered for setting up operations.
The temperature of the ambient air entering the unit is recorded by an internal temperature sen-sor. The integrated electronic controller reacts to this measured temperature or to an external control signal. By changing the speed of rotation, and so changing the recirculation air flow rate, the cooling capacity is continually adapted to the cooling load of a room.

Example of parameter setting
A USB socket and signal diodes for monitoring and parameterisation of the unit are integrated into the front panel. This allows the current ope-rating state to be read from within the room. In addition the ceiling fan coil has an operation and fault-signal relay.

The cooling capacity depends principally on:
Parameter settings Fan speed selected by the control system or
manually Ambient air temperature and humidity Cold water supply temperature and cold water
mass flow
Determination of the cooling capacity using graphs or formulas is therefore laborious and prone to error. The speed of rotation of the fan changes continually according to the ambient air temperature, as does the cooling capacity during condensing operation.
We recommend:
Due to the numerous parameters, please contact our Technical Sales for a concrete design proposal.
