The proposal: As I opened the door to my house, there was a long, laced walkway with rose petals and candles illuminated on each side. As I walked down the walkway there were four pictures hanging from the ceiling that represented the special places we shared with one another. Each of the four pictures had one word that spelled out...“Will... you... marry... me?” As I got to the end of the walkway, there was a chair with a rose. He then asked me to sit down and he began to serenade me with a song he wrote. Afterwards, he got down on one knee and proposed! We then celebrated with some delicious red wine, followed by a romantic picnic in the backyard. During the picnic he presented me with a scrapbook of the memories that we had shared since we first met.

Favorite detail: Bride: My favorite detail about the wedding was that God was incorporated into every aspect of the wedding. Without seeing one another, we held hands and we prayed together before getting married. We also incorporated the unity cross showing that God is our foundation. Groom: Watching my beautiful bride walking down the aisle, this was unique to me because it was something that I had dreamt about for a long time, it was like nothing else.

Favorite moment: Bride: When he held me in his arms as his wife and we danced to our song. It was just he and I in that moment. Everything else faded around me. Groom: Our first dance as a married couple and hearing our song.

Biggest challenge: Bride: Coordinating with everyone to make sure all the details were taken care of. Groom: Being able to balance time to be with all of our guests.

Funniest moment: Bride: My brother and I getting on the dance floor in order to get the party started. Groom: Watching my brother-in- law and future son-in-law do a dance off.

If you could do one thing over: Bride: To get a picture of my mom helping me with my dress. Groom: Marry her sooner.

One piece of advice: Bride: Enjoy every step of the way, from wedding planning to the end of the wedding night. It will be over before you know it and you will wish you had more time to remember this special night. I also suggest you stop for a

moment of time after your ceremony to share a special moment with your new husband. Groom: Enjoy the moment, this is something that you will remember for the rest of your life. You are marrying the person of your dreams! If you get nervous, focus on your bride and the reasons that brought the both of you together.

What marriage means to you: Bride: I got married to an amazing man who is my best friend. I could not see my life without him. Marriage is a beautiful union that is blessed by God. It is to be able to have a life partner to share everlasting memories and make new experiences. Groom: I found my soul mate, found the person we all hope to find. Nothing will make me happier than marrying the one I get to spend the rest of my life with.

How to make your spouse happy: Bride: I look for ways to show and tell him I love and respect him daily and try to do unique and fun things that will be a lasting memory for him. Also, we love to spend a lot of quality time with one another. We are inseparable. Groom: To always listen, be patient, and to communicate through the good and bad. To always pay attention to your bride’s love language, and treat her like a queen.
