1. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufac-turer, if you have questions, contact the manufacturer atthe address listed in the warranty.

6. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use thisrange hood with an additional speed control device.

7. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.

1. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings,Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that mayignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.

2. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or whencooking flaming foods.

3. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not beallowed to accumulate on fan or filter.

4. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriatefor the size of the surface element. 2

TO REDUCE THE RiSK OF INJURY TO PERSONS IN THEEVENT OF A RANGE TOP GREASE F_RE, OBSERVE THEFOLLOWING:*

A. You know you have a Class ABC extinguisher and youalready know how to operate it.

B. The fire is small and contained in the area where itstarted.

C. The fire department is being called.

D. You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

CAUTION A

1. For general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhausthazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

2. To avoid motor bearing damage and noisy and/orunbalanced impellers, keep drywall spray, constructiondust, etc. off power unit.

3. For best capture of cooking impurities, your range hoodshould be mounted so that the top of the hood is 24-30"above the cooking surface.

4. Use only with range hood cord-connection kits that havebeen investigated and found acceptable for use with thismodel range hood.

5. Please read specification label on product for furtherinformation and requirements.

HI FAN LO LIGHT

Fan

The 3-position rocker switch (on the left) controls the fan. Theleft position is high speed, center position is off, and rightposition is low speed.

Light

The 2-position rocker switch (on the right) controls the lights.The left position is on and the right position is off.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock,disconnect from power supply before cleaning.

ABuminum mesh filter

Clean frequently using hot water and a mild detergent or inyour dishwasher. The aluminum mesh filter should be washedapproximately every month depending on the amount of us-age. Wash more often if your cooking style generates greatergrease - like frying foods or wok cooking.

Nonoducted fimter (CmeanCooking hoods onmy)

Clean filter surfaces frequently with a damp cloth and a milddetergent: DO NOT immerse filter in water or put in dish-washer. The special "Clean Sense" feature indicates whenthe filter is to be replaced. The blue and yellow strips willblend to green when it is time to change the filter. The "CleanSense" feature works best when facing toward the cookingsurface.

Painted hood surfaces

Wiping regularly with mild soap/detergent and warm watershould protect painted hood surfaces. Be cautious about us-ing "New and Improved" cleaning agents. Your hood is in-stalled over hot cooking equipment. Most chemicaIs found incleaning agents react with heat to loosen paint.

Stainless steeB hood surfaces

Stainless steel hoods should be washed regularly with a cleancloth, warm water and mild soap or dish detergent. Clean inthe direction of the polish lines. Rinse well with clear waterand wipe dry immediately. You may wish to apply light oil usedfor furniture polishing to emphasize it's bright finish.

Fan assembly

Fan blade can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild deter-gent. Use care when cleaning fan blade - it must not becomebent or misaligned. DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO ENTERMOTOR. Make sure all surfaces are completely dry before re-installing filters and restoring power.

Motor is permanently lubricated. Do not oil or disassemblemotor.

Luz

El interruptor oscilante de 2 posiciones (de Ja derecha)controla las Iuces. La posici6n de Ia izquierda es prendido yla posici6n de Ja derecha es apagado.

Fimtros de maria de amuminio

Limpie frecuentemente los filtros con agua caliente y undetergente suave. Los filtros se pueden Iavar en lavaplatos.Se debe Iavar los filtros de mafia de aluminioaproximadamente cada mes, dependiendo de su uso.
