Smarter Targeting

Step 1: Create a Smart List in Marketo of your dirty data • Create a Smart List in Marketo to aggregate data missing fields. • In the example below, we’ve created a Smart List that pulls all Leads missing First Name, Last

Name, Job Title or Company Name. • The only field required for the export is Email Address.

Step 2: Export this Smart List • Export this Smart List from Marketo by viewing the list and clicking the Excel button at the

bottom of the screen. Export all columns in .csv file format.

Step 3: Format the file for import to RainKing • Delete all columns from the exported file except for the columns shown below and keep

them in the order shown below. Save this file in .csv file format.

Step 4: Import this list into RainKing using Prospect Prism • Log in to RainKing and navigate to the Marketing Center and Prospect Prism. Use Prospect

Prism’s import tool to import your .csv file from Marketo.

Step 5: Select and send clean prospects back to Marketo • Once your .csv file has imported, RainKing will provide diagnostics of the list. Select the

“Matched” contacts and send them to Marketo. This will update your “dirty” Marketo Leads with clean RainKing data!

Step 6: Leverage clean RainKing data in Marketo • The data from RainKing will refresh and clean your Marketo data. This information can be
