Create your Class 1 program: 1. Use the Mining Map Viewer to identify if your claims are within a notification area; 2. Complete a Class 1 Notification: a. Ensure activities do not exceed Class1 thresholds; b. Ensure information is complete. NOTES Use the Mining Map Viewer to identify settlement land and class 1 notification areas. A Notification is required if your exploration program is categorized as class 1 and located either on settlement land (category A or B) or within a class 1 notification area. To determine if your project would be categorized as class 1, review the Class Criteria table in the Placer and Quartz Mining regulations. Class 1 notifications for prospecting leases will continue to use the lease work program form, which will serve as a Class 1 notification. Days are calendar days.
