SEMINAR CAMPCISV INTERNATIONAL’S
CISV is a secular, non-government, and not-for-profit international
organisation that runs programs in over 60 countries.
CISV programs are designed to develop cultural understanding
and learn about the world through real life experiences.
CISV has over 60 years experience internationally and has had more
than 200,000 people participate in its international programs.
What is CISV?What is
Seminar Camp?Seminar Camp is a 3 week
program for 17 and 18-year-olds from all over the world.
The participants completely coordinate the program,
developing their own agenda based on their interests in global
issues.
Seminar Camp’s intensive group-living environment encourages participants to collaborate and
creatively problem-solve.
WHY?
Seminar Camp is perfectly timed to give participants an intensive taste of life beyond school. It equips them with the essential skills they will need to be a constructive part of the future of work.

Final Evaluation
At the beginning of the program, participants and staff must agree on the behavioural and learning expectations for everyone.
These provide a forum for communication between staff and participants and can be used to solve any issues that may arise.
Excursions allow for some exploration of the local culture.
Allows everyone to pause, reflect on, and share how the program is progressing and what they have learnt so far.
A project with a like-minded organisation allows participants to be immersed in, and give back to, the local community and culture.
A day for local CISV members and interested members of the community to come along and see what a Seminar Camp is.
Participants and staff reflect on the program, the skills they have developed, and the learnings they have gained.
Seminar Camps are overseen by a team of 4-6 staff over the age
of 21.
Staff are selected through a rigorous application process which
includes a working with children check, a police check and
contacting at least 2 referees.
They must complete CISV International’s Seminar Camp Staff
Training which ensures they are prepared for facilitating 17 and
18-year-olds specifically.
SAFETY & SUPPORT
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
CISV makes the protection of children their first priority. CISV Australia has and abides
by a strict Child Protection Policy which covers all relevant Australian laws.
Our staff have all read and agreed to abide by this policy both when in Australia and
overseas, as well as having passed a working with children check and national
police check.
Internationally, CISV implements a Child Protection Policy, based on UK law, which
all countries must abide by.
