1.1 Easily ensure that Deal and Order End-Customer are aligned for proper bookings As you go through the Deal and Quote creation process, and convert that quote to order, we want to ensure that

the appropriate end-customers/users are captured in both quote and order. We are providing you with the tools

to more easily select the appropriate end-customer on your Deal and Order, as well as provide you the

awareness of any discrepancies between end customers on a Deal and Order. This ultimately helps make sure

that your Orders are booked properly, negating the need to reach out for manual support.

One of the tools we are improving is the end-customer search tool:

When editing end-customer on your order, you are now provided with a new default view: Only addresses

and companies associated with the end-customer on your Deal will be shown. This view is the default but

can also be selected manually by clicking on the radio button with the end-customer name next to it.

You can still toggle favorites list using the Favorite List radio button (giving you a view that you are

familiar with.

After selecting an address on the new default view, you can use the selected address on Order and add it

to your favorites list by clicking on Use and Add to Favorites, or if you prefer, you can simply add the

selected address on the Order by using the Use Selected Address button (without adding the address to

your favorites).

The ability to conduct advanced searches and create new address for End Customers remains unchanged.

We have also incorporated a new warning message in the Review and Submit Tab in your order. If there is

a discrepancy between the end-customer on the deal and order, you will be informed of this via the new

message.

There is also additional functionality within the message. You will note that Deal and Order are

highlighted. If you hover over either, the respective End-Customer will display, allowing you to easily see

the mismatch between end-customers. You can then, proceed by either updating the end-customer on

your Deal or your Order, depending on the correction needed.

1.2 You can now Co-Term TnC+ offers to Enterprise Agreement end date We have made it easier for our Enterprise Agreement (EA) customers/partners to manage subscriptions better by

enabling co-terming features for TnC+ offers in Cisco Commerce.

An EA eligible customer/partner can leverage the Buying Program Awareness (BPA) features to get 100%

discount on the software purchased under EA. BPA uses the Smart Account (SA) to systematically apply

the EA eligible discount and co-term the TnC/TnC+ subscription/expansion products to the EA contract

end-date.

Configuration enhancements are made, which will automatically adjust the TnC and TnC+ configuration

when a smart account is added and manual re-validation will no longer be needed.

We have also enabled BPA partner eligibility check for TnC+ offers, which will ensure only certified

partners are allowed to sell these offers in certain eligible countries. Partners are required to have Partner

Authorization Codes (COMCERT or GLBCOMMRC) in their profile to make use of BPA features.

Commercial Invoice (CI) indicative values for eligible ship to countries are also made available for TnC+

offers on an approved quote-new purchases only. To generate CI indicative values, see training here.

Note: The EA discount and co-terming is only applicable to TnC/TnC+ SKUs that are part of Hardware/Software

ATO or a Major Line Bundle (MLB). Single Sub MLBs and XaaS SKUs are not supported by this feature.

Note: Distributors will only be able to make use of the SA based EA discount. Co-terming will not be applicable.

To make use of the SA based EA discounting, co-terming subscription to EA end date and systematic removal of

SWSS on qualifying perpetual software feature, follow the below steps:

Quote/Order

1. Start with As-Is process of creating a quote/order and add a TnC/TnC+ Offer/SKU.

2. Add the software subscription to the offer in the configuration UI and validate the configuration.

3. Once the configuration turns Valid, assign the Smart Account (SA) at the quote header or ATO level and click

Save and Continue.

Note: We recommend you add all the SKU/Items to the quote before assigning the SA at header level.

4. The configuration will be systematically revalidated and result in below changes:

4.1. An informational message will appear indicating the changes based on the SA assigned.

4.2. SA based EA 100% discount will be applied on the eligible items.

4.3. The subscription will be systematically co-termed to the EA end date.

4.4. Software Support Service (SWSS) if already covered under EA, will be systematically dropped from the

configuration to avoid duplicate entitlement.

5. After the subscription is co-termed to EA end date, you will not allowed to make any changes to the end date

in Configuration UI. The End Date selection will be grayed out.

Change Subscription

Change subscription will not be allowed, if the initial subscription purchased is already co-termed to the EA

end date. Additionally, if the initial subscription for TnC+ offer was not fulfilled under EA and user tries to add

EA eligible SA during change subscription to avail BPA benefits, then EA discount/co-term will not be allowed.

B2B Partners

B2B users will be able to leverage BPA features to make use of the SA based discounting and co-terming for

TnC+ Offers.

For B2B users, change subscription will be restricted from B2B punch out UI, if initial purchase is already

covered under EA.

1.3 Mandating Smart Account/Virtual Account on Enterprise Agreement (EA) Reusable Non Standard

Discount (RNSD) Deals To effectively track the consumption of EA RNSD deals, we are now mandating the EA Smart Account (SA)/Virtual

Account (VA) to be added when an EA RNSD deal is created. Partners/Distributors creating a transactional quote

or order using the EA RNSD deal will see the SA/VA systematically copied over from RNSD deal to quote/order.

Quote created with EA RNSD Deal:

On a quote, when an EA RNSD Deal ID is added, we will systematically copy the SA/VA from the deal and apply

to the quote header and line items. You will have the ability to edit the SA/VA copied over from the EA RNSD

at both header and line level.

Note: The SA/VA applied on the quote will be removed when the EA RNSD Deal is deleted from the Discount ID

field.

We will also validate if the partner is eligible for Buying Program Awareness (BPA) and apply all the features

associated with BPA to the offer. If the deal has items which does not qualify for BPA, then RNSD will be

applied.

Note: BPA discounts will always take precedence over RNSD

Page 7: Cisco Commerce EXTERNAL RELEASE TRAINING · Provide Feedback on this Training Resource Last Updated: March 1, 2019 All rights reserved. Cisco Proprietary. ©2019 Cisco and/or its

Order created with EA RNSD Deal or Transactional RNSD Quote:

On an order created with EA RNSD deal, we will systematically copy the SA from the deal and apply to the

order header. Order created using transactional RNSD quote will have the SA/VA copied over to the header as

well as line items. When any new item is added to the order, the SA applied at header will be cascaded to the

items as well.

We will also validate if the partner is eligible for Buying Program Awareness (BPA) and apply all the features

associated with BPA to the offer. If the order has items which does not qualify for BPA, then RNSD will be

applied.

Note: BPA discounts will always take precedence over RNSD. And if the SA is removed or changed to a non EA, the

BPA features may not apply.

1.4 Order Total display of un-submitted orders in Cisco Commerce The Orders page/UI in Cisco Commerce has been enhanced to display the order total of UNSUBMITTED orders.

Users can now view/check the order total of UNSUBMITTED orders without having to open the respective order.

Users can now view the order total via “View All” option available under “Orders” tab

1.5 Subscription ordering capability under Managed Services/Service Provision Use To be able to create any deal/order in Cisco Commerce, the intended use (Resale/Internal Business Use/Managed

Service etc.) has to be selected. Service Providers have an option to avail a promotion called ‘Simplified Pricing’

which is enabled only when Managed Services/Service Provision Use is selected as intended use. Currently, Cisco

Commerce restricts users from ordering annuity subscriptions offers (XaaS, TnC+) via Managed Service/Service

Provision Use as intended use. To ease the ordering of annuity subscriptions offers, Cisco Commerce been

enhanced enabling users to create a deal/order for annuity subscriptions offers via Managed Services/Service

Provision Use as intended use. The enhancement also enables users to avail the applicable promotions for

annuity subscriptions offers.

1.6 New Subscription Activation notification to Bill-To-Customers Currently, only end-customers receive a subscription activation notification for some offers via a welcome

message. Partners and/or Distributors do not receive the notification and get to know about the subscription

activation events only when they get the first invoice. Going forward, Partners/Distributors will have more

visibility into subscription activation events as they will receive a Proof of Delivery notification. The new

notification message will be sent to partners and/or distributors when a new subscription is activated, a change

subscription is executed, and a subscription is renewed.

The new notification message will have details of the order including end customer, subscription SKU,

activation date, billing details etc. as show below:

The message serves as Proof of Delivery that Cisco has met the delivery obligation and the subscription has

been activated at end user

The Welcome email to the end-customers will continue to be sent to the respective recipients
