The concept of ‘Magical Metamorphosis’ is to encourage the organic development of creative thinking and imagination. The aim is to provide young people with the tools to approach the preliminary steps of artistic creation, conceptualising and investigation, with a broader scope.

Using Pablo Picasso’s 1942 assemblage, ‘Bull’s'Head,’ the workshop delves into the evolution of the ordinary into the extraordinary, and how creative treatment of ideas guides this transformation.

“I love to dabble with paint, film and pen but a camera is my first love. I have a great passion for creating stories based on the mental experiences in my own life and of others. To me being human gives us an incredible power to create and learn, which photography and writing gives to me.

I guess as such a shy youngster this became a face for me. Something that was my own, I could still share it, but it was the beginning of the evolving confident person I wanted to be.

Now, it is still my face but it is more my face and continues to grow as I do.”
