Welcome to Church of the New Covenant in Jacksonville, Illinois. We are glad that you have joined us today and look forward to getting to know you a little bit better in the days and weeks to come. We are a group of men, women, and children who love Jesus and love one another. We are committed to sharing the good news of the love of God to the world.

Our Sunday morning services are characterized by passionate contemporary worship, powerful times of prayer, and dynamic teaching from the Bible. Our hope is that you will encounter the reality of God’s love for you in every facet of our services.

EXPLORE LIFE

Explore the meaning of life through a dynamic small group course called ALPHA. This awesome group meets several times though out the year and explores the basics of the Christian faith in very comfortable atmos-phere.

EXPERIENCE LIFE

Explore the abundant life in Christ by taking part in some of these core classes that will help you grow in your understanding of God’s purposes and plans for your life. These courses are offered several times through-out the year.

Steps To Freedom In Christ: this twelve week course will help you dis-cover who you are in Christ, who Christ is in you, and how to live out those realities in everyday life.

Walking Daily In The Power of the Holy Spirit: This class is for those who want to know more about the person of the Holy Spirit that Jesus sent to indwell us, and all that He has for us and the church. We will share how to walk daily in His power and not ours, and how the Bap-tism of the Holy Spirit enables His gifts to operate more fully in our lives as believers.

ENRICH YOUR LIFE

Enrich your life in Christ through a variety of other small group opportu-nities offered throughout the year. LIFE GROUPS meet in members homes in a casual atmosphere of fellowship and prayer for one another. Other small groups that have met include Learn To Crochet, Baking Clas-ses, Art Classes, and more.

Anyone is welcome to take these classes whenever they are offered. Watch the bulletin and announcements for details.

Fellowship

We are committed to equipping and releasing every believer to have a powerful and effective prayer life. Through small pray-er groups, Friday night prayer services, and seasonal training conferences and seminars everyone has many opportunities to grow in their per-sonal prayer life.

Outreach

The outreach ministry works together to creatively reach out to the community of Jacksonville throughout the year. Many times the best way is simply to serve those around us in a cre-ative way such as serving biscuits and gravy to the high school students. Sometimes, we work in partnership with other churches and ministries to more effectively meet the needs of the community. The annual Thanksgiving Day meal is ac-complished by many churches coming together!

Prayer

We love to spend time together in a relaxed atmos-phere of friendship and fun! Some of our special events include:

Vision

This church takes very seriously the desire of Jesus that His house be a house of prayer for all nations. Our entire ministry is dedi-cated to reinforcing this vision with different activities and op-portunities to allow all of us to grow spiritually in the place of prayer.

We believe that any attempt to reach out to the community of Jacksonville is powerless without first being immersed in prayer. The generation in which we now live is unchurched; therefore, we need to intentionally build bridges to reach the thousands in Jacksonville alone who are in desperate need of a Savior.

The strategies needed to reach this generation come directly from God in the place of prayer. Therefore, we are first a house of prayer and secondly a bridge to the community. As we walk out this vision, we expect God to use us as a change agent in this city and beyond.

The Word of God declares that without a vision we will perish. This is our vision and it drives everything we represent as a church. We invite you to join us in this call.

Kingdom Quest is an in-depth, interactive and enjoyable experience for children ages 5-12. Kingdom Quest provides ministry opportunities Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as well as special events throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School and Family Movie Days.

The vision of Kingdom Quest is to train and equip children from a young age to recognize and understand the Kingdom of God present in everyday life. Hearing God’s voice, speaking the word of the Lord, the power of

UPWARD YOUTH MINISTRY

Upward Youth Ministry is designed to provide many different opportunities for Jr. and Sr. High youth to experience God through friendship, disciple-ship, fun activities, intimate worship, and more. The Youth team, led by Jerry and Lori Littig seeks to meet the complex needs of this generation through loving care and Godly role models.

The Upward Youth Ministry meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday evening for activites and there are small groups that meet throughout the year for Bible study. Special opportunities abound in the summer months for our teens to be involved in ministries and fun activities to help break the boredom of the summer months.

PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER

The Jacksonville PRC, a partner in the Living Alternatives Net-work, offers pregnancy tests, caring support, prenatal health edu-cation, parenting education, adoption information, post abortion help, practical assistance and more.

GREEN PASTURES CHRISTIAN RETREAT CENTER

Located in Meredosia, this wonderful retreat center serves the communities of West Central Illinois by providing retreat facili-ties and camp programs that encourage spiritual growth. Nu-merous weekend camps are available year round and week long camps are available in the summer months.

THE SALVATION ARMY

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mis-sion is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Our local Salvation Army is in the process of raising funds to build a new ministry center. It is our privilege to join them in this effort.
