Did you know ~ Steeda Q 2015 Mustang Pumps Out 775 HP

The Steeda Q 2015 Ford Mustang is putting out around 775 horsepower and it looks like it mean business. We wrote about the launch of the new 2015 Saleen Black Label 302 Mustang recently, well looks like it has some serious competition now with this Valdosta Stallion. As with the new 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang, Steeda is offering three flavors of its Q-Series Mustang models: One with a slightly tuned naturally aspirated 480-hp version of the Coyote V-8 and two with power packages that presumably employ superchargers that will pump up output to 650 or a whopping 775 horsepower. In any case, the 775-hp version handily outguns the Saleen S302 Black Label which is said to produces 730 hp Realizing that power means nothing without stability and control, we’ve incorporated our proprietary precision-engineered Steeda G/Trac suspension and chassis modifications to keep the driver in command and deliver a level of performance that makes for an unbeatable combination on the street, racetrack, or dragstrip – all without sacrificing noise, vibration, or harshness. On the exterior, we have elevated the Mustang to new heights by incorporating over 20 key component upgrades that form an integrated and cohesive performance package including:

A new wind tunnel-tested aerodynamically enhanced front fascia with an integrated lower chin splitter

Rear enhanced decklid spoiler

Powertrain induction and tuning upgrades

Performance-free flowing exhaust system

Substantial key front and rear suspension enhancements/upgrades

and much more… The fitment of lightweight staggered 20” wheels and Nitto High Performance tires round out the package and not only add an aggressive look, but they also reduce un-sprung weight, further enhancing performance and providing far superior levels of car-to-road adhesion. This Steeda Q will offer a free-flowing exhaust system, suspension upgrades that drop it down on its 20-inch wheels, and a full array of body modifications, including a new front fascia, lower splitter, deck lid spoiler, and hood. Pricing, availability, and more powertrain specifics aren’t yet available, but we’ll bring you more information on the Steeda Stangs as soon as they are. Oh – Did we mention that all 2015 Steeda Q-Series Mustangs are covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty! Published April 9, 2015 | By Brothers Performance

Did you know?

The Specialty Equipment Market Association, SEMA, is much more than the annual trade show that takes over Las Vegas every November. It is a powerful organization comprised of thousands of automotive aftermarket and OE companies, and a significant chunk of those member companies’ dues goes towards fighting for our gearhead rights in Washington. It’s no secret that the environmentalists want to severely restrict anything that creates pollution, especially our internal combustion-powered vehicles, and politicians are eager to appease them and sign legislation that threatens to end our hobby. But with SEMA fighting on our behalf to help change that pending legislation into something more realistic and workable, they are our Marines in D.C.

Not all politicians are ignorant in the ways of hot rods and cool cars however, and in 2010, at the SEMA Action Network’s (SAN) annual request, the U.S. Senate helped launch Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD) by passing Resolutions each year. This national “holiday” has been marked each year since 2010 by a U.S. Senate Resolution recognizing that the “collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States.” This year’s CCAD is July 10, 2015, and as in years past, a wide range of automotive events will be held to commemorate the occasion—see the schedule of events listed here and attend one to show solidarity. If you can’t make it to an event for some reason, SEMA encourages everyone to participate throughout the month of July to honor the classics of the past and the future, telling us to, “Celebrate the hobby your way” and offering the following suggestions:

• Attend an official vehicle-inspired event • Host your own gathering or club meeting • Promote a “holiday sale” at your business • Drive your special ride, new or old, whatever the destination

If your club has a show planned in the month of July, or wants to organize one, SAN will let you promote it on their website http://www.semasan.com/page.asp?content=ccad-event-submission-form&g=SEMAGA at no cost, and participating organizers will be awarded a copy of the congressional resolution for display at each registered event.

Many Mustang fans have beautifully restored cars that spend far too much time under a cover in the garage, so at least once a year, drag that baby out, wash it up and take it out for a drive. We’re all in this together and, after all, they’re cars and were meant to be driven, even if it’s only a day or two a year. Check out SEMA’s video featuring Courtney Hansen below or here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j91KeBdli9g

Did you know? “New” 1964-66 Mustang Convertibles are Being Built in Florida. Want one?

Revology Releases Details on Their New 1964 to 1966 Mustang Replicas!

Phillip Thomas, May 8, 2015, Photos By: Revology

Revology’s new early Mustangs are not restomods. They aren’t picking up tired and twisted shells and reworking them into the final product. Instead, they take it a step further by starting with an entirely new body shell.

The Ford-licensed, Dynacorn-manufactured body includes many structural changes to increase torsional rigidity, reduce NVH, allow for just about any Ford drivetrain to fit (including Modulars and big blocks), and adapt Revology’s many suspension upgrades in order to solidify the foundation of their new Mustang.

Those changes help to accommodate Revology’s MacPherson front suspension and three-link rear suspension, which is based on the late-model solid axle Mustangs. These changes not only increase the handling capabilities of The Revology Mustang, but they also increase ride quality well beyond anything we could wish for from an original stock suspension Mustang. Other chassis updates include power disc brakes on all four corners, rack and pinion steering, side-impact bars and a collapsible steering column, The subtle rethinking carries into the interior of The Revology Mustang, too. The trick power window switches are built into the old window crank, pushing or pulling on the crank activates the window. LED lighting is used throughout the vehicle to increase visibility of the original five-pod instruments. The Revology Mustang also houses a modern audio system behind stock-appearing components, including hiding USB and auxiliary jacks in the ash tray. Power is still traditional small block Ford, using an updated EFI 302ci V8 backed by your choice of a five-speed manual or automatic (with overdrive) transmission.

Sticker price starts at $119,500, and Revology offers both a fastback and convertible bodystyles. Revology is currently taking orders, with an expected Spring 2016 delivery. For more information, visit www.RevologyCars.com
