Latest News All in all, January has been a relative good month, little snow and a great January Meeting coupled with a fun event at Wild Wades. Coming up in February is our Ford Sponsor meeting on the 10th at 6pm at Dewey Ford. The club will be providing sandwiches and soda’s so any special orders, let me know NOW! I think we will be ordering from Jimmy John’s and have it delivered to Dewey. We would like to welcome our new members the Strain’s, Deleon’S, and Allen’s on our Facebook Page and Club Website! We all look forward to sharing our Mustangs! If you have suggestions to articles or websites just let me know. During the month of February, I will compiling a list of parts websites to post online. If you have a favorite, just send me the link I and can have it uploaded. Looking at making a listing to find parts faster for our cars! SplashData, besting both “superman” in 21st place and “batman” in 24th

Adding letters, numbers, acronyms and symbols to your favorite pony car-inspired code for sign-in

will help strengthen your password

Ford Mustang is one of the most popular cars ever built, and now it has the distinct honor of being one of

the most common passwords on the Internet, a recent study reveals.

According to SplashData – a company specializing in password management – the word “mustang” was

the 16th most common password found on the Internet in 2014, the only car moniker that found its way

into the top 25. Not only that, Mustang is a slayer of superheroes – more popular than “Batman” and

“Superman” as people’s secret code for accessing their personal networks and accounts.

“We’re flattered people want to use ‘mustang’ as their password, but alone, it just isn’t strong enough to

be secure,” said Keith Moss, Ford Director of Cyber Security. “We encourage people to use ‘mustang,’

but we recommend they strengthen their password by mixing upper and lower case letters, numbers,

acronyms and symbols to make it unique.”

Here are a few suggestions for strengthening your “mustang” password:

Add numbers to your password (favorite Mustang model year, year you bought your Mustang or

year you sold the car)

Incorporate Mustang option codes, paint codes, engine codes or digits from your VIN

Create acronyms for modifications made to your Mustang (FRSC, for Ford Racing SuperCharger,

for example)

Include your favorite driving road or road trip destination

Keep in mind that using the same password on all websites is not recommended; a password manager can

help keep multiple Mustang-related passwords organized and easy-to-access.

While you should always keep your Mustang-inspired password a secret, wear your appreciation for the

iconic pony car proudly and loudly.

leads to most race-ready road-legal Mustang ever

The first retail production Shelby® GT350R Mustang, VIN 001, fetched $1,000,000 for charity at the Barrett-

Jackson Scottsdale auction at WestWorld today. Ford Motor Company auctioned the car at No Reserve, with

proceeds benefiting JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research.

After an electrifying bidding war, purchase of the first retail production Shelby GT350R was made by an

anonymous bidder who is now the proud owner of this coveted vehicle. They have also made an important

contribution to JDRF’s goal to progressively remove the impact of type 1 diabetes from people’s lives.

In 1965, Ford and Carroll Shelby developed a road-racing version of the popular Ford Mustang – the Shelby GT350

Competition model. Lighter, more powerful and with a highly developed suspension, it is one of the most iconic

racing Mustangs ever produced.

Arriving later this year, the new Shelby GT350R has been designed and engineered in the same spirit, delivering

never-before-seen track capability from a Mustang – thanks to innovations in aerodynamics, chassis engineering and

light-weighting technologies.

“We knew the auction of this coveted car would capture the attention of serious enthusiasts,” said Steve Ling, Ford

North American Car Marketing manager. “This was one of the most exhilarating auctions to witness, and the

winning bidder is taking home a piece of history.”

Shelby GT350R features the first-ever production V8 from Ford with a flat-plane crankshaft – the most powerful

naturally aspirated engine Ford has ever produced – plus a specially tuned suspension. It features revised spring

rates and antiroll bars, bushings and jounce bumpers, as well as control calibration for the MagneRide dampers, a

lower ride height, unique track-tuned alignment settings and cross-axis ball joints in front. Complete vehicle specs
