Liturgy of the Word Acts 2:42-47

Psalm 118:2-4, 13-15, 22-24 Adam Bartlett

Let the house of Israel say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His mercy endures forever.” Let those who fear the LORD say, “His mercy endures forever.” ℟

I was thrust down, thrust down and falling, but the LORD was my helper. The LORD is my strength and my song; he was my savior. There are shouts of joy and salvation in the tents of the just. ℟

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. By the LORD has this been done, a marvel in our eyes. This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice in it and be glad. ℟

1 Peter 1:3-9

Alleluia O FILII ET FILIAE

You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord; blessed are they who have not seen me, but still believe! ℟

Liturgy of the Eucharist Magdalena

Angelus Domini chant, mode VIII

Sanctus Community Mass • Richard Proulx

On Easter Day Mary Magdalene visited the grave. What did she find there by the side? A beautiful angel.

The angel addressed her: “The one you seek, blessed woman, to anoint him with spices, he was resurrected from death.”

As he calls her by her name “Mary!”, she recognizes him for her savior, and now by his gestures, too, she knows he is not a gardener.

Angelus Domini descendit de cælo, et dixit mulieribus: Quem quæritis, surrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia.

The Angel of the Lord came down from heaven and said to the women: "The One whom you seek has risen, as he said he would", alleluia.

Mitte manum tuam chant, mode VI

For those unable to receive the Blessed Sacrament at Mass, the ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Sacrament allows you to share in the graces of Christ’s sacrifice:

O my Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot receive you sacramentally at this moment, come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace you as if you were already there, and I united myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you.

Amen.

Mitte manum tuam, et cognosce loca clavorum, alleluia: Et noli esse incredulous, sed fidelis, alleluia, alleluia.

Stretch forth your hand, and feel the place where the nails were, alleluia; And be not doubtful, but believing, alleluia, alleluia.
