In 2010, the rate of return on assets for foreign-funded enterprises and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises was 4.5%, 1.2% lower than

nationwide average. Among foreign-funded enterprises and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises in following major distribution areas, thoseenterprises in Jiangsu realized the highest rate of return on assets, and those in Zhejiang achieved the lowest ROAs. Those foreign-funded and

HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises in Jiangsu realized a ROA of 8.6% in 2010, 2.9% higher than the nationwide average, 4.1% higherthan that of nationwide average of all foreign-funded and HK, Macau and Taiwan-funded enterprises.
