Who made the whole earth? God! Who made all the animals? God! Who made the grass and the trees? God! Who made the sun and the sky? God! Who made the mountains? God! What is God’s most special creation? People Why did God make us as His most special creation? Because He loves us! God made us all special - one of a kind. How did God make YOU special? Our memory verse from the Bible this month says, “Nothing at all (shake head and wave your arms in front of you) can separate us (lock your fingers together) from God’s (point up with both hands) love.” (hug yourself) Romans 8:39. HEART PRINT Hearts show love. We are going to make a heart with your finger! This heart will show that God loves you. Who loves you? God loves me! What You Need: • “Heart Print” coloring page • Inkpads (if available; other options are below) • Crayons What You Do: Give your child a coloring page. Help them place their finger in the ink and press it inside the heart. Continue the activity until the heart on the page is full of fingerprints. Wipe messy fingers with wet wipes. If you don’t have an inkpad, you can use stickers, markers, crayons or other items you have around the house to decorate your heart. You could also go outside and pick some flowers or grass to add to your heart.

• Variety of small items that God made (animals, leaves, food, etc.) • Shredded paper • Medium-sized tub What You Do:

Place all the figures, greenery, animals and food in the tub. Place the shredded paper on top of the items to hide them. Ask your child to stick their hands into the tub and pull out something that God made. Repeat the activity until all the items have been found.

Alternative activity ideas: Freeze the small items in ice and have your child go outside and help the ice melt to discover what God has made. In the medium tub, fill with water and bubbles. Have your child fish around in the bubbles to discover what God has made. Parent supervision is highly suggested.

What You Do: Invite your child to do movements that imitate things that God made. Movements can be “twinkle like stars” (fingers in the air), “wave your arms like branches of a tree”, “stomp like an elephant”, and “pretend to squeeze a lemon.” Example of what to say: “Let’s act out things that God made! First, let’s be stars! Hold your hands in the air and open and close your hands (demonstrate). We are twinkling like stars! Now, let’s be trees! Wave your arms in the air like tree branches (demonstrate). God made elephants! Let’s stomp like elephants (demonstrate). Great job! God made lemons! Let’s pretend to squeeze a lemon (demonstrate). Whew! God made so many things! Now, let’s point to the MOST important things that God made! (Point to yourself.) GOD MADE YOU!”

Have your child stand. Invite them to do following movements: jump, touch toes, pat head, and hop on one foot. Repeat as desired.

Example of what to say: I’ll do a movement, then you do it, too.

God made us to do great things.

(Jump.) I am jumping, so now you jump. (Do activity.) Great job! Okay, let’s do another one.

(Touch toes and encourage then to mimic you.) Wahoo! You’re doing great!

Keep watching me!

(Pat head and encourage the children to mimic.) Now, let’s hop on one foot! Awesome! God made us to do awesome things!

ACTIVITY: HEART MASK What You Need: • Large Heart Coloring Page • Scissors • Craft Stick • Glue or tape • Crayons • Stickers What You Do: Print out and help your child cut along the lines of the heart. Cut out ovals for their eyes. Allow your child to color and decorate the heart however they wish. Attach a craft stick to the backside of the heart for an easy carry. Encourage them to hold the heart to their face as a mask.

Great job! Hearts mean love. When we wear the mask, it tells everyone that God loves us! Who loves you? God loves me!”
