to Torrance who will remain over for a glimpse of the fair were A. S. Woodsum, a wealthy retired business man of Los Angeles; H. M. Skeels of Reno, Nevada; and E. M. Searl, a property owner of this city, who lives in Los Angeles. Mr. Searl who owns property on Carson avenue and who has not been in Torrance for some time, is amazed at the rapid growth of the city and,,' surroundings and is more than ever confident that nothing can now retard the growth of Torrance into the chief industrial city of South- ern California.

SAXAPHONE SEXTETTE
MAKE HITGilmore Saxaphone Six
Of Long Beach Be- come Famous
One of the most Important fea- tures of the Torrance Free Pair this year, was the advent of Gilmore's Saxophone Six Into the merriment and fun-maknig entertainment of- fered every night in the various tents. These six musicians were made up as clowns, and Oh, Boy! How they can Jazz. Just at a time when they think the crowd Is a trifle unappreciative they have a way of caressing, coaxing and tantalizing those saxy Instruments that make you feel go devilish, and they sure get a spark. Frequently we have heard the remark, "What would this fair be without the Saxy Six." Last evening Mr. Gil- more scored the ^it of the evening with his accordian and tonight promises to wind up the show, just before it passes into history, with some more of his famous selections.
They come from Long Beach and the following is a list of those who are made-up in the sextette:
