CHICKEN ALFREDO DIP Ingredients: 3 Tbsp butter or margarine 3 Tbsp flour ½ tsp salt 1 tsp dried parsley ½ tsp garlic, minced 1 cup chicken broth 1 cup milk ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese 1 cup shredded mozzarella, divded 1 package cream cheese (8 oz) Canned chicken (equivalent to about 2 cups) Direction: Alfredo Sauce 1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until mixture is smooth. 2. Sprinkle in salt, parsley and garlic. Cook for one minute. 3. Add milk and broth, whisking until combined. Continue to cook and whisk mixture over medium heat until it has thickened and smoothed. 4. Stir in cheeses (parmesan and ½ cup of mozzarella) until melted. Alfredo Dip 5. Beat cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add alfredo sauce and beat until combined. Slowly stir in chicken. 6. Spread into a baking dish and sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes once the oven has been preheated. It should be bubbly and beginning to brown. 8. Serve hot with veggies, crackers or bread. *Note: if you don’t’ want to serve immediately, you can cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days until you’re ready to bake.
