included, as the pattern will work with both paper sizes.

Cut out the Fabric
Draw the patterns directly onto the wrong side of
a single layer of fabric. Cut out the exterior,
lining, and interfacing. Fuse the interfacing on
the wrong side of the lining, following the
manufacturer’s guide.

Tip. There are two options in cutting the interfacing, with or
without the seam allowance. Cutting the interfacing without
any seam allowance will give it a better overall shape; if you
would like to do this, use the original pattern (gray dotted line)
to cut out the interfacing.
Make the Mini Card Pocket
1 Place the mini card pocket pieces with right
sides together. Stitch around the edges and leave
a 2” opening on the top. Trim the corner seams.
Open
2 Turn the pocket right side out, push out the
corners, and press. Topstitch on the top edge
only, closing the opening.
Make the Cash Pocket
1 Place the cash pocket pieces with right sides
together. Pin and stitch the top and bottom
seams, leaving both shorter seams unstitched.
Backstitching on all ends.
2 Turn the cash pocket right side out through
the side opening and press. Topstitch on the top
edge only.
3 Double fold 1/2” (total 1”) and pin the top
seam of the remaining cash pocket piece towards
the wrong side of the fabric. Pin and sew along
the folded edge, 1/4” away from the seam.
4 Place the shorter cash pocket piece on top of
the longer cash pocket piece, aligning the bottom

raw seam. Pin and stitch the sides, backstitching
on all ends.
Make the Card Pocket
1 Make the card pocket using the card pocket
front piece. See Appendix B, Make the Card Pocket.
2 Place the card pocket back piece onto the
folded card pocket front with the right sides
together. Pin and stitch the top seam,
backstitching on both ends.
3 Open and front and back card pocket and
press the seams open.

4 Place the exterior and lining card pocket
gusset pieces with the right gusset together. Pin
and stitch one short seam. Backstitching on both
ends.
5 Open the card pocket gusset right side up.
Press the seams open.
6 Place the exterior side of the gusset pocket
piece to the front (assembled) card pocket, and
the lining side gusset to the back with right sides
together. Aligning the one side seam. Pin and
stitch together. Clip the overlapped seam. Repeat
step 4 to 6 for the other side.
7 Open both gusset right side facing up. Then
fold the front card pocket and back card pocket
with the wrong sides together following the stitch
line. Topstitch 1/8” away from the top seam,
backstitching on both ends.
