CHELMSFORD SENIOR CENTER
AUGUST
2019

Dear Residents,

I hope that your summer is going well. We had
great weather for the Country Fair and the 4
th
of
July parade. A special thanks goes out to the
many volunteers who worked tirelessly to provide
these community events.

A reminder that the Farmer’s Market on the
Town Common is open every Saturday from
10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Shop for fresh local
produce, other food items, and crafts from a
variety of vendors. Each week brings some
different vendors and entertainment, so please
drop by.

The Chelmsford Community Band continues to
perform free concert or jazz summer
performances on Chelmsford Common every
Tuesday night until August 13th. The program
starts at 7:00 pm. If it rains, follow the music
indoors to the Chelmsford Center for the Arts.
The Chelmsford Community Band is proud of its
history of bringing live performances to the area.
Visit them on the web at
http://www.chelmsfordcommunityband.org.

Other recreational areas such as the fully
accessible playground at Roberts Field, the
Chelmsford Dog Park, and the Town beaches
are open. You may also want to travel along the
expanded Bruce Freeman Rail Trail into Acton.

As always, please contact my office at 978250
5201, or email [email protected]
with any questions or comments. Please log in to
the Town of Chelmsford website
www.townofchelmsford.us for information
regarding the town. Enjoy the remainder of the
summer!

Best Regards,

Town Manager
From the Director’s Desk

Sometimes people just need a break. August is
when I usually take a vacation, a chance to be
away from day to day responsibilities, be in a
new environment, and do things that I usually
don’t make time for. I often come back refreshed,
and thankful to be home, back to work, and
appreciating my everyday life. Even if you don’t
get a chance to get away this month, come to the
Senior Center for a “mini vacation.” You won’t
have to cook, you will be in new surroundings,
and you can do things that you
typically don’t make time for!

Happy August, everyone!

Warmly,

Debi

the Senior Center is open. Our two daily
