This tournament was a city wide invitaon only event! GreenForest Chrisan School – Elijah Ndukue, Mariam Tadesse and Ausn Williams. Nick’s Barbershop – Brice Cowins, Tyreke Edge, Jacari Ford, Leon Guthrie, Maxie Harrell, Ashlee Ingram, Collin Laster, Amani McCrary, Amari McCrary, Marcellus Miller, Corey Pigot and Richard Slaton Jr. Special thanks to all our parents and the Checkmate Academy staff; Anthony Smith, Georgia State University student intern and Essig Kemp-Chess Coach Georgia Perimeter College – Quad Chess Tournament Parcipants: The GPC Leadership Academy Chess Club, Clarkston players parcipated in a USCF Quad Chess Tournament on April 5th at Emory University. Congratulaons: Calvin Menyfield 1st place Quad C Tulsi Bhandari 2nd place Quad D Jose Hernandez 3rd place Quad D Each player brings their recorded games to the weekly chess sessions to review and crique with our insturctor. Checkmate Chess Academy encourages all students to parcipate in rated tournaments and it reinforces me management skills, crical and analycal thinking, concentraon, compeveness and learning of algebraic notaons.
