What are Chateau and who built them?

Chateau are castles built by "ench kings


Where is Loire Valley?

Between Maine & Su#ysur Loire.


What is the Loire?

Loire is a river that flows flows between amazing cultural landscape and historical scenery.


When were they built and why?

They were built in the 10th century because they did not want to be far "om the seat of power.


Villandry- Completed toward 1536.- Last of the large Chateaux built on the banks of Loire during the Renaissance.- Beautiful landscaping.Built by Jean le Breton, whom was a minister- His coat of arms can be found on the le" dormer window on the gable.- In 1754 it became the property of Marquis de Caste%ane, kings ambassador.- He redesigned the interior, and built the classical style outbuilding as seen on both sides of the courtyard.- Traditional gardens were destroyed in the 19th century.
