Saturday Night Charlottesville Pizza PartyCharlottesville and Central VA dancers had a blast at SwingFling in early August. Congratulations to all who competed;contest results are here! Our dancers did very well incompetition with many making finals and several taking thetop placements in these divisions: ProAm Novice Swing (1stSummer Hawks, 2nd April Dawkins), ProAm Youth Swing(2nd Jacen Northcutt), Novice Jack & Jill (1st Kelson Gent),Intermediate Jack & Jill (1st Viko Hernandez, 2nd AidanKeith-Hynes) and Sophisticated Jack & Jill (1st RobinPowers). Way to represent, Charlottesville Dancers!!

The next area dance event is Swing Trilogy, September 11-14th in Raleigh. Event Directors Dave Moldover and BenHooten are looking forward to hosting North Carolina's firstWCS event and we are looking forward to being there! Ifyou've never attended a dance event, this would be a reallygreat one as it's small and close by. Need more convincing?Then talk to any of the dancers in the picture above :-)

Highlights from the August DanceWe had a fantastic time at the August "Bring A Friend"dance with DJ/Lesson Instructor extraordinaire, KristinWenger. It appears we had record attendance with ourusual Central VA area dancers and our friends from Raleighand DC who roadtripped to be with us too, thanks everyonefor making the drive! Special thanks to those who wereattending a dance for the very first time; we hope youenjoyed the evening, made new friends and to see youagain at a future dance, whether that be a CSDS dance oranother dance. We are so fortunate in our area to have localdance promoters who get along and coordinate their eventsaround each other :-)
