He currently lives and teaches in New York City and travels regularly to give seminars in other parts of the United States and abroad. His primary teachers are Endo Shihan and Senseis Jan Nevelius and Jorma Lyly, and he is extremely grateful for and strongly influenced by many others including Senseis Mary Heiny, Hiroshi Ikeda, Takeshi Yamashima, Mitsugi Saotome, Siego Okamoto, John Stone, and Robin Cooper.
