The reason I'm writing is that I'm a supporter of the CED and a big fan of their Tech Venture Conference. I volunteered to chair the event for 2016. Part of the role of  chair is to recruit a steering committee and I wanted to see if you would be up for it.

 As an 'LP' and NC venture advocate, I think you would be a great addition to the committee..

The conference will be held Sept. 13-14 at the Raleigh Convention Center and the role of the steering committee is pretty light:o Meet 2-3 times before the event to help brainstorm speakers, topics, etc.o Help with some speaker outreacho Attend the event and possibly help run a panel, speak, MC, etc. 

The annual CED Tech Venture Conference attracts 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, and domain experts from across the nation. Over 75 investment funds attended the 2015 conference and we featured 100+ NC tech companies on

 either on stage or as demo companies.

CED staff will manage all logistics and communication in support of these conference objectives.
