The Barrel Restaurant

The idea here is to convert an old wine cellar into a restaurant with wine barrels as cabins for personal dining. Barrels will be of different sizes with respect to seating capacity.

Vineyard Wedding“Aged Love is like Aged Wine” and hence all couples visiting Maribor, irrespective of married or not is given a new beginning with a marriage in a vineyard with fabulous altar made of vines followed by lovely cruise on traditional rafts, dance with the Wine Queen and dining at the Barrel Restaurant.

The Barrel Roll

Type I – Roll over a hill side or a pathway in a barrel shaped plastic ball like Zorbing. It may be filled with grapes or wine at rider’s request.Type II – Roll over a bed of grapes by getting inside an actual barrel and crush them in new style.

Souvenirs

Wooden carved/Clay modeled City of Lent, Maribor magnetic stickers.

Small barrel look alike wine glasses/mugs and a bottle of wine the tourists themselves made with the labels of their names and date of visit.

Replicas of wedding altars made of vines engraved with their new marriage date.

Caps/Hats under the main brand “I FEEL sLOVEnia” with the respective regions designs on it for e.g. Maribor would have designs of vines/barrels/wine bottles etc.

Marketing Strategies

With a long run perspective we could adopt following strategies for a better tourist in flow.

Try our luck in inviting a world famous author of romance to stay in Slovenia and write a romance novel based in Slovenia.

Invite media persons and get featured.

Be more active in social media with active posting of fun & happenings in Slovenia.

Urge the visitors to share their experience as videos or images in their social media platforms with the Slovenian Tourism Board website tagged to it, on doing that offer them attractive discounts on next visit.

Sponsoring an international event/program in highly viewed channels. E.g. “Romantic Getaways” a program of STAR MOVIES showing romantic movies over a weeks time.

Regular cleaning, pollution control over the lands will lead to appreciation of visitors as well as international organisations, could be role model of eco-tourism.
