Transcript of Cets 2016 daul got game getting your organization started using games
“Games are systems in which players engage in various
ways toward a common goal or win state. Games often
include a storyline, rules, interactivity, and feedback that
result in a quantifiable outcome. Some characteristics of
games might include scoring or competition. Games used
within learning are often implemented to allow students
to have experiences, reinforce skills, or increase their
contact with content.”

“Gamification is the integration of game characteristics
and mechanics into a real-world training program or task
to promote change in behavior. Gamification is most often
used to motivate and engage people. Gamification elements
may include achievements, badges, levels, rewards, points,
and leaderboards.”
