IMPORTANT NOTE: Completion of the CCE Program Requires Using Two Websites with Two Different Logins: The Certified Chief Engineer (CCE) program requires the use of two (2) websites. The National Association of Hotel & Lodging Engineers (NAHLE) partners with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) to bring you the CCE program. The NAHLE website is for registering and tracking your hours of study while the EI’s website is only for taking exams. The usernames and passwords for the two websites are not interchangeable. So, please keep track of your usernames and passwords. The first thing you do is register. You will create your own username and password when your property (GM) registers you. The NAHLE website (www.nahle.org) uses these Username and Password to ‘Log On’ to NAHLE’s website. The NAHLE website is where you will track your daily hours of on-the-job study time. The EI will send you an email with a separate Username and Password for use on an entirely different website address. Use your EI Username and Password to access their website. This is where you take your exams (https://testing.ahlei.org/perception5/). There are three exams so hang on to this second set of website IDs. There are three steps to becoming a Certified Chief Engineer: 1) Register, 2) Study the desk reference/study guide EI sends you and track the hours online you spend studying while on-the-job, and 3) Take the three sectional exams.

There are three steps to becoming a Certified Chief Engineer:

1) Register,

2) Study the desk reference/study guide EI sends you and track the hours online you spend studying while on-the-job, and

3) Take the three sectional exams.

Use the Discount Code, “gmdiscount” to make a secure online payment of $1.00 using any major credit card. This nominal amount is used to initiate the registration process and triggers several automatic functions such as your EI email. You will be invoiced an additional $500.00 for the program.

Create Your Own Username and Password: Input your candidate’s Username and Password. You may change the password only. Usernames cannot be changed.

For Username, enter the initials of your property. As an example, Hampton Inn & Suites, Oklahoma City / Bricktown would be “HISOCB.” Further, Hilton Garden Inn, Bricktown would be “HGIB”; Homewood Suites, Rogers would be “HSR”; and Hampton Inn Austin NW/Arboretum would be “HIANWA.” The Username cannot be changed. All letters are Upper Case. For Password, enter the candidate’s last name, once again capitalizing the first letter of the name, followed without a space by the word “Apple”. The Password combines two words into one word. For example, if the candidate’s name is Jeff Ellis, the Password would be entered as EllisApple, respectively. For Robert Elliott at the Home2 Suites in Alexandria, the Username would be H2SA and the password would be ElliottApple.

If the engineer is changed the password should be changed using the same format as listed above. The username may not be changed as it is permanently “hard coded.”

Your registration Discount Code is: ‘gmdiscount.’ Applying this code reduces the online registration charge to $1.00. The property will be invoiced an additional $500.00 for the program.

NAHLE Membership: Upon registration, the candidate also becomes an ‘Engineer Member’ of NAHLE with full access and privileges for one year.

Next drag the little square orange slider and it will show hours in increments of 15 minutes. Select the amount of time you spent studying that chapter. The candidate may make multiple entries in a single day.

You can add personal notes, for example, "Should go to OSHA's website or stopped on page 48- had to repair PTAC in room #223." Notes are personal and only available to those with your login account.
