Miss Jones’ 3 rd Grade News January 2016 Reading: In reading we are working on compare and contrast, biographies, fact and opinion, and summarizing. Writing: We are learning about opinion writing. Math: Our class is still working with multiplication in Chapter 4. If possible please have students work on multiplication.com to practice facts. I will have flash cards coming home soon! Science: In science we are still working with Mrs. Martino until the end of the 2 nd marking period. Social Studies: At the beginning of the 3 rd marking period our class will be moving to Mrs. Marsicanos’ classroom to learn about government and laws. Before break I stopped checking student planners at the end of the day. I am transitioning to have more student responsibility. Reading: In reading we are working on compare and contrast, biographies, fact and opinion, and summarizing.

Writing: We are learning about opinion writing.

Math: Our class is still working with multiplication in Chapter 4. If possible please have students work on multiplication.com to practice facts. I will have flash cards coming home soon!

Science: In science we are still working with Mrs. Martino until the end of the 2nd marking period.
