約翰福音 John 1:44生命在他裡頭，這生命就是人的光。4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

歌羅西書 Colossians 3:44基督是我們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同顯現在榮耀裡。4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

提摩太後書 2Tim 1:10 10但如今藉著我們救主基督耶穌的顯現才表明出來了。他已經把死廢去，藉著福音，將不能壞的生命彰顯出來。10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Matt 16:21-26 21From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.22Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"23Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."24Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.25For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.26What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
