Analogy• Today We are comparing Cell organelle to The

Human Body and School

Page 3: Cell organelle presentation

Cytoplasm• the gel-like substance enclosed within the cell

membrane – and the organelles • Human body: Blood• School: Students, Students carry info and

material around School

Page 4: Cell organelle presentation

Nucleus• a part of the cell containing DNA and RNA and

responsible for growth and reproduction found in eukaryotic cells

• Human Body: Brain • School: Office, Office controls the whole building

Page 5: Cell organelle presentation

Nucleolus• is a non-membrane bound structure found in the

nucleus of cells. It is composed of proteins and nucleic acids found within the nucleus of eukaryotic cells.

• Human body: Small part of brain• School: Principal, controls the cell and sends info

thought the school

Page 6: Cell organelle presentation

Endoplasmic Reticulum

• a network of tubular membranes within the cytoplasm of the cell, occurring either with a smooth surface (smooth endoplasmic reticulum) or studded with ribosomes (rough endoplasmic reticulum) involved in the transport of materials.

• Human body: Blood vessels• School: Hallways, Allows students to travel

thought the whole school

Page 7: Cell organelle presentation

Mitochondria• is a membrane-enclosed structure found in most

eukaryotic cells• Human Body: Digestive System• School: Bathroom, Allows waste to be released

out of the school

Page 8: Cell organelle presentation

Chloroplast• Involved in photosynthesis• Human body: Food• School: Cafeteria, Makes food inside building to

feed School

Page 9: Cell organelle presentation

Cell Wall• The outer more thicker part of cell to protect and

keep shape of cell• Human Body: Skin (Outside)• School: Wall, A protects the School

Page 10: Cell organelle presentation

Cell membrane • Inner part of cell the allows things to come in or

out• Human Body: Skin (inside)• School: Doors, allows things to come inside and

out

Page 11: Cell organelle presentation

Vacuole• Big part of cell that is used to store Things in Cell

for later(mostly water)• Human Body: Fat/Bladder• School: Class rooms, Stores things inside

school( fills up and empties out)

Page 12: Cell organelle presentation

Cytoskeleton• is a cellular scaffolding or skeleton contained

within a cell's cytoplasm.• Human body: Bones/ mucules • School: Building, Holds up building and supports

building
