CLINICAL TEAM OF THE YEARThis award recognises a clinical team that has consistently provided high standards of care and patient safety. With strong leadership and committed staff, these teams have met objectives to bring about change and benefits for patients. The teams have shown their ability to deliver those benefits through working together effectively and efficiently.

FOREWORDCelebrating Excellence is our opportunity to say a big thank you to colleagues across our organisation who go the extra mile every day to deliver a great service.

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is ‘Striving for Excellence’ and it is only by recruiting and retaining the very best staff that we will achieve that ambition.

This year we have introduced new categories of awards to make sure the achievements of all our colleagues including our volunteers, students and staff can be recognised. Over 100 inspirational individuals and teams have been nominated for awards – more than in any previous year. In addition we have our MY Star winners from 2013/14 and 2014/15. These are people whose commitment to excellence changes lives by providing the very best hands on care or by working behind the scenes to help colleagues deliver safe and efficient services.

We are grateful to our judges who have faced the unenviable task of narrowing down these fantastic examples of what makes the NHS the best health care service in the world to the shortlist that is presented for you here.

A big ‘thank you’ is also owed to our sponsors who have funded our awards ceremony, making it possible for us to give our shortlisted individuals, teams and MY Star winners the opportunity to celebrate in style.
