CEDRU Association - Center of

Excellence for Human Resources

Development is a legal person of private

patrimonial purpose, independent and

non-governmental.

Center of Excellence for Human

Resources Development is an institution

for training, consulting, educational, social

and humanitarian services.


WHAT?

CEDRU has an attractive portfolio of programs

and projects, mainly promoting a wide range of

school activities, training, educational

consultancy and technical assistance.

Students, teachers, parents and adults from

different social categories benefit from

CEDRU programs and expertise. CEDRU

promotes educational models implemented

nowadays in Romania and many other

countries in Europe as well.


WHERE?

CEDRU is located in Craiova,

Romania. It develops activities

in Dolj county mainly, but in

partnership with institutions all

over Europe.


WHEN?

CEDRU started its activity in 2007 as a

department of The Builder Word

Foundation, in Craiova. It dealed with

promotion of projects and programs on

European funds.

From April 2008 CEDRU has its own

legal status and developed its activities

and programs for children, youth and

adults.


CEDRUactivities:

CEDRU offers :• counseling• training in various language and life skills to young people in the region• CEDRU club which promotes non-formal educational activities for young people as an alternative to spend the spare time in a pleasant and also useful way.


CEDRUstrategy:

The Centre establishes its own priorities and selects the areas of interest for its projects and services according to its clients needs and the national and international educational field evolution.


CEDRU AREAS OF ACTION :

EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS:• "Afterschool" optional activities in non-formal extracurricular clubs• courses for teachers and parents• counseling center for children and parents• partnership projects and national and international cooperation• the project "Hospital School" -- development of educational offerings for hospitalized children• involvement, as partner / beneficiary in educational projects financed from EU funds



SOCIAL PROJECTS:• establishment of centers for social assistance for abandoned children (with parents gone abroad) - Center for Early Social Work• raising funds for old people's homes / houses for family / persons in precarious situations• raising funds to support education for children capable of high performance, but with poor material situation• design Children's playground



HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS:• donations of toys, clothes and food for disadvantaged children• donations of food and clothing for the elderly abandoned

CEDRU VOLUNTEERING

Our volunteering offer is opened to anyone interested in learning new training methods, to develop facilitation skills and to improve their general cultural and social knowledge. We are mostly interested in the yougsters` motivation to participate in our Centre’s activities.
