Email Inviting Others to Get Involved

4 April 2011 version 1.0 Page | 1

Hello <name>,

I am part of a group starting a campus organization called Students of AMF at <school>, which includes a

Support Group for students who are grieving with the illness or death of a loved one and a Service Group

open to the entire campus community to participate in service events to volunteer and raise money and

awareness for causes that are important to chapter members.

Students of AMF at <school> is one of about 70 chapters of National Students of AMF across the nation.

For more information on the organization, you can check out www.studentsofamf.org or this video from

the Today Show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxgnQUIyMow.

I am helping start this chapter because, compounded with all the academic and social pressures of

college, coping with the illness or death of a loved one can be very difficult. The Students of AMF Support

Group will give grieving students an opportunity to meet and talk with others who are going through

something similar. And the Service Group will provide a way for the entire campus community to take

action to help others and support important causes.

<You may want to include a personal story and what a chapter would mean to you.>

We need your help to spread the word about the organization to your friends! Please join our Facebook

Group <web address> and spread this email to everyone you know. Surprisingly, about ¼ of all college

students are within a year of grieving someone they love, and most don’t talk about it, so you never know

who might be interested in learning more about Students of AMF.

Thank you in advance for your help,

<Your name>
