STEM Challenge (Practicing STEM)• Challenge: To build and race a boat across water using
only the materials provided.– 3 straws– 5 craft sticks– 3 Styrofoam cups– 3 marshmallows– 1 piece of string– 1 piece of foil– 4 mailing labels– 2 pipe cleaners– 1 piece of paper
STEM Challenge (Practicing STEM)• Challenge: To build and race a boat across
water using only the materials provided.– Form teams– 2 minutes to discuss, can touch but do not manipulate
items– 8 minutes to create – Time will be called – hands off!– Time to put your creation to the test and ‘set sail’!– Must blow boat from behind the designated line
