DAY 1 UK to TokyoTake a scheduled �ight from your regional airport to Tokyo.

DAY 2 Arrive TokyoArrive at either Narita or Haneda airports, where you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist you toboard an airport bus to transfer to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

DAY 3 TokyoDay at leisure with optional tours available to pre-book.Japan’s bustling capital mixes modern with traditional,from neon-lit skyscrapers, to picturesque gardens andhistoric temples.

DAY 4 Tokyo Morning TourToday, you will be collected from your hotel to join amorning tour of Tokyo. Visit Meiji Shrine and theImperial Palace East Garden (or Imperial Palace Plazaand Double Bridge, Monday, Friday and when thegarden is closed) and drive through Asakusa shoppingdistrict. Tour ends at Tokyo Station. The rest of the dayis free at leisure.

An overview of your trip

DAY 5 Tokyo to Mount Fuji and HakoneYour main suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to Kyoto. Please keep an overnight bag with you forthe night in Hakone. After breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation to join a day tour to Mt.Fuji and Hakone. Visit Mt. Fuji’s 5th station in the morning, and after lunch continue to Owakudani BoilingValley using the Hakone Ropeway, followed by a cruise on Lake Ashi. After the tour, you will be transferred toyour accommodation in Hakone by taxi.

DAY 6 Hakone to Kyoto and Nara Afternoon WalkingTour

After breakfast, make your way to the station byprivate car for your bullet train to Kyoto, where you willbe met by an English speaking assistantl, who willtransfer you to your accommodation. In the afternoon,join the tour to Nara, to visit the Todaiji Temple withGreat Buddha, and Nara Park, home to over 1,200 wildshika deer. Visitors may feed the deer with Shika-senbei, a special snack for the deer which is availableto buy in the park. Continue on to the Kofuku-ji Temple,before returning to Kyoto.

DAY 7 Kyoto Full Day TourToday, join a full day tour of Kyoto. Visit the impressiveKiyomizu-dera Temple, for a panoramic view of Kyoto.Continue to Sanjusangendo Temple, a Buddhist temple�lled with 1001 statues of Kannon, the Goddess ofmercy, and the intriguing Fushimi Inari Shrine with itsbrightly coloured Torii gates. Next, move on toArashiyama, and the Tenryu-ji Temple, one of Kyoto’sbest Zen temples, and wander through the beautifullandscaped garden. Walk along the enchanting SaganoBamboo Grove, where the plants tower above bothsides of you, forming a picturesque tunnel. The laststop of the day will be at the beautiful Kinkaku-jiTemple (Golden Pavilion), a zen temple where the toptwo �oors are completely covered in gold leaf.

DAY 8 KyotoDay at leisure. Home to 17 UNESCO World HeritageSites, Kyoto was the centre of politics for 1,100 years.This culturally rich city has many interesting places todiscover including museums, art galleries, shrines andtemples. You will also uncover an exciting food culturewith a variety of amazing dishes on offer includingSushi, Kaiseki-ryori, tempura and noodles. During yourtime in Kyoto you may come across a Geisha and Maiko(apprentice Geisha) wearing traditional kimono. Gion,one of the main downtown districts in Kyoto, is whereyou may catch a sight of them. There is so much todiscover and experience in Kyoto so take your time toenjoy this historic and charming city!

DAY 9 Fly to UKDay at leisure until your transfer to Kansai International Airport by shuttle bus for your �ight to your regional UKairport.
