HRSD in Cooperation with the Virginia Department of Health is seeking Marina

Interns to assist with educating recreational boat owners about the proper disposal of sewage from their on-board sanitary

holding tanks. Interns will be required to perform various tasks to inform the boat owning public about potential problems resulting from improper disposal and to

demonstrate the proper technique for accomplishing an effective pump-out.

This position requires working on regular 10 hour shifts on weekends (Friday,

Saturday and Sunday) from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Must posses &

maintain a valid Operator’s License (from state of residence). Minimum of 1 yr. post

High School. Must be able to communicate clearly with the public and have strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to

perform simple mathematical calculations addition, subtraction, division and

multiplication. Must be able to follow technical instructions, procedures and

schedules. Starting pay $11.65 per hour.
