NSW Rural Assistance Authority - Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate The NSW Government has announced $20 million in additional support for farmers to establish permanent water infrastructure to assist with the immediate water supply needs and long-term risk mitigation for the farm enterprise. The Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate (EWIR) scheme aims to help severely drought affected livestock producers install on-farm water infrastructure such as pipelines, bores, tanks and troughs. The availability of rebates is subject to funds being available. The scheme will close on 30 June 2015 or when the funding allocation is exhausted. For more information on this rebate, visit the NSW Rural Assistance website. http://www.raa.nsw.gov.au/assistance/emergency-water-infrastructure-rebate

Joke for the Day
The room was full of pregnant
women with their husbands. The
instructor said “Ladies, remember
that exercise is good for you, walking
is particularly beneficial. It
strengthens the pelvic muscles and
and will make delivery that much
easier.
Just pace yourself, make plenty of
stops and try to stay on a soft
surface like grass or a path.”
“ Gentlemen, remember, - you’re in
this together, it wouldn’t hurt you to
go walking with her, the shared
experience would be good for you
both.”
The room suddenly became very
quiet as the men absorbed this
information.
After a few moments, one of the
men at the back of the room raised
his hand.
‘Yes?” said the instructor.
“I was just wondering if it would be
all right if she carries a golf bag
while we walk?”
Brings a tear to your eye, doesn’t it?
This level of sensitivity can’t be
taught……

Tips ! • To undo something that is
rusted together use a few • drops of vinegar.
• To tenderise steak in stews or casseroles add two tablespoons vinegar.
• A teaspoon of sugar will take away that over- salted taste from dishes without leaving any taste of sugar.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY
“One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown, is the belief that
one’s work is terribly important..” Bertrand Russell
The Satnav
- by Pam Ayres
I have a little Satnav,
It sits there in my car
A Satnav is a driver's friend,
it tells you where you are.
I have a little Satnav,
I've had it all my life
It's better than the normal ones,
My Satnav is my wife.
It gives me full instructions,
Especially how to drive
"It's sixty miles an hour", it says,
"You're doing sixty five".
It tells me when to stop and start,
And when to use the brake
And tells me that it's never ever,
safe to overtake.
It tells me when a light is red,
And when it goes to green
It seems to know instinctively,
just when to intervene.
It lists the vehicles just in front,
And all those to the rear
And taking this into account,
It specifies my gear.
I'm sure no other driver,
Has so helpful a device
For when we leave and lock the car,
It still gives its advice.
It fills me up with counselling,
Each journey's pretty fraught
So why don't I exchange it,
And get a quieter sort?
Ah well, you see, it cleans the house,
Makes sure I'm properly fed
It washes all my shirts and things,
And keeps me warm in bed!
Despite all these advantages,
And my tendency to scoff,
I only wish that now and then,
I could turn the bugger off.
