The Academic Challenge has 4 competitions, a Junior and Senior Spelling Bee and a Junior and Senior Times Table Challenge. Congratulations to Michell, Tiana, Brandon, Lillian, Joel and Isaac who competed in class competitions and made it through to represent Cattai PS on the day. LMBR The transition over to the new LMBR system has been a smooth and seamless process. My early impression of the system is that it will add a lot of added functionality that we didn’t have under the previous system. It will however take time to adjust to and in the short term things may take a little longer but it will be more than worth it in the long run. Thank you for your patience during this time. TERM 4 CALENDAR As always we have an action packed Term 4 planned. To help remember all the dates and up and coming events I have put together a Term 4 Calendar. Most of these dates are booked in and confirmed however there may still be some that may change. Notes for all these events will come out closer to the event providing you with more details. Hopefully this will help us all to navigate our way through the busy times ahead. Eftpos Machine The P&C now have an eftpos machine to accept on the spot payments for uniform orders and hot lunches etc. It is available Wednesday afternoon from 2.15pm until 2.45pm, Thursday afternoon from 2.15pm until 2.45pm and Friday morning from 8am until 8.30am.

Maroota Public School are holding a family portrait day at their school and have kindly offered the opportunity to the families of our school as well. Cattai Catch 2016 – 21st October until 23rd October. Get your entrees in now! Please spread the word for our community fishing comp. This fishing comp, while being great family fun also helps raise a lot of funds for the school. Work on Wisemans Ferry Road and Cattai Road, Cattai from
Monday 19 September
The NSW Government is funding this essential maintenance work
between O'Briens Road and Little Cattai Creek to provide a
stronger, longer lasting and safer road.
Roads and Maritime Services will carry out this work, which includes removing and
replacing sections of asphalt.
We have included a map to show the location of this work.
The work will take 15 shifts to complete between Monday 19 September and Thursday 20
October, excluding public holidays, weather permitting. Our working hours will be from 7am to
Spm between Mondays and Fridays.
How will the work affect you?
There will be some noise associated with this work. We will make every effort to minimise its
impact.
Traffic Changes
There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.
Lane closures will be in place and may affect travel times. Please keep to speed limits and follow
the
direction of traffic controllers and signs. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit
livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
Other Roads and Maritime work in your area
In May and June, Roads and Maritime sought community feedback on a proposed overtaking
lane on the Old Northern Road, Maroota. We are preparing a community consultation report
which considers the feedback received, this will be finalised in the coming months.
