Dear Colleagues, Purdue Faculty Association would like to invite you to its March event, which will take place at the Haan Museum on Sunday, March 26th from 1 to 4:00pm. The Mansion was originally the State of Connecticut building at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. It was dismantled and moved to Lafayette, Indiana, immediately after the Fair by Mr. and Mrs. William Potter and became their personal residence. When Bob and Ellie Haan bought the property, they started acquiring historic American art furniture as well as Indiana paintings and potteries to decorate the house. Over the years they built an exceptionally fine art collection, which they donated in 2015 along with the mansion to the newly created Haan Museum. Next Sunday, the museum will open specially for the Purdue Faculty Association. Feel free to come by with friends and family* at any time between 1 and 4pm to visit the museum, explore the mansion, admire the collections, and take a walk through the sculpture garden. Docents will be there to guide you and answer your questions, and some refreshments will be offered.
